This chart is an example of an interactive graphic recording that was used as a tool to engage the entire group to prioritize ideas and action. The left and center areas are captures of two presentations. The area on the right is where I captured the small group outcomes from discussion on the central question. Ideas were reported out on sticky notes and I transcribed them onto the chart during a break. Later in the session, the group used dot voting to identify the top priority actions.

These charts were created in my studio. They are story maps of interviews of grantees of the Quixote Foundation. I used the snaking pathway to support the journey theme that was central to the interviews. Each story map explores the individual’s journey’s into their work as agents for change - those who are realizing Quixote’s mission of creating “Free people, in fair societies, on a healthy planet.”

This chart is an example of graphic recording. This chart was created live during group introductions for a multi-day convening. Each organization was invited to introduce themselves by sharing their organizational “super power”, call to action, their intended BIG impact! and their organizational challenge, or “kryptonite”. This chart was 4 feet high and 8 feet long.

Each time that I have seen him lead a session, I have been inspired by his skillfulness and adaptability. His graphic illustration is outstanding and truly differentiates his work. The illustrations, which he digitized and provided us, have continued to influence our thinking for years subsequent the event. He is truly exceptional and masterful in his work.
